PWU Star Nathan Byrne
Hope Everyone had a great Christmas, now here is our interview with PWU Star NATHAN BYRNE
1. When did you fall in love with Wrestling?
I fell in love with wrestling at a later age than most, about 13 years old, where as most of my friends watched it at 10 years old or younger. It was just chance that I seen wrestling, my best friend, Gary, came down and put it on. Was hooked ever since
2. Who were your heroes growing up?
Hmmm, back then it was The Undertaker and Jeff Hardy. Of course I loved The Rock and Stone Cold but always been an Undertaker guy!
3.If you could pick one WWE/WCW legend to face who would it be?
Shawn Michaels! One of these best performers the industry has ever seen.
4. How does it feel standing in front of the PWU crowd?
Well standing in front of any crowd is exhilarating, that feeling you get when you are out there, makes all the trails, bumps, pain worth it. It’s always great to come home to Belfast, back to where you first started and the people you first preformed for.
5.What has been your favourite career match?
Honestly it has to be the match with Tucker, but not because it was match of the night or he’s one of the best in the country or even the fact he is with WWE. Tucker helped coach me from day one, so to come back and stand toe-to-toe was unreal. When we had the match, he treated me as an equal, someone who is on the same level, not everyone does that.
6. What thoughts went through your head entering your debut match?
Oh why oh why didn’t I tan! Haha, I was pale while, white as the background, blended into it! I was nervous, very nervous but so excited to get out there and embrace the feeling of being in front of a crowd.
7. Who influenced you most in your career?
So many but the people who continue to influence me and my style is, Bryan Danielson, Pete Dunne, Aj Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura
8. How did it feel turning against CTB 3 a mentor of yours?
It felt good to be honest, though when I look back on it now, I feel guilty for my actions. It felt good because I was ready to step out of the shadow CTB3 had, step away from CTB3 and Kenny Grind and show everyone who I really am. I could have gone about it in a different manner but my arrogance led me down that path.
9. What’s next for Nathan Byrne
Well first, I intend to take that All Ulster Title of Phil The Thrill and show everyone why it is the title to have. I will defend it against anyone and everyone, north, south and across the water. Then…then I intend to add to it, Nathan two belts, hmmm that could work. There is two titles back home I have always wanted to hold, one of them I get my chance very soon. The 2nd? Guess we will see!
10.How did it feel facing Uk Tournament entrant Tucker at PWU Galvanise
It felt nerve wrecking and ecstatic at the same time. On one hand, I was in the ring with one of the best, no one else, just me and him one on one. But on the other hand I had a shot to prove to everyone I can go, that my time in England has NOT been a waste, that I have learnt and grown in my absence.

UPRISING’s Eddie Stone
Thanks for doing this!
1. When did you find out about wrestling?
Very early on when I was a child around age 4 I would watch with my older brother and that’s where it all started for me.
2. Who inspired you to become a wrestler?
My favourite of all time is Eddie Guerrero so he’s had a lot of influence but the one guy that made me actually think “wow this is actually possible” was sheamus he broke down a lot of doors for guys from Ireland and the U.K.
3. What have been some of your career highlights/ favourite in ring moments so far?
Being able to work against former nxt star Luther Ward is a highlight as well as WWE UK championship tournament competitors Tucker and Jordan Devlin.
Recently though being able to be a part of uprising from the beginning and seeing how quickly it’s growing has been a real pleasure
4. How do you feel when the crowd chants/ calls you Eddie Pebbles?
It’s like music to my ears when people shout stuff at me or boo me, it just spurs me on that bit more to prove them all wrong
5. What WWE/WCW/ECW legend would you like to face?
Chris Jericho without a doubt to still be at the top of his game after all these years he would be a dream opponent
6. At Uprising 4 you faced Blake Richards, how bad did you want to rise to the throne?
I knew I wasgoing to rise to the throne that’s all there is to it, doesn’t matter who’s in my way I’m going through them
7. At An OTT contenders show you faced the KOTN along side buddies Big ticket Gavin Fitz and Russell Dempster how did it feel to debut for OTT against such classic opponents?
Just to debut for OTT in general was an amazing experience but to do it alongside your friends against your trainers was an unforgettable memory. Corvin and Bonesaw have been a huge part in my development in this business and to be able to step in there with them is always a pleasure.
8. What’s it like to hear the fans boo at you?
It’s an electric feeling having an entire crowd booing you, it’s a feeling that’s hard to explain it’s just something you have to feel.
9. How close are you with your fellow Uprising trainees?
All of the uprising trainees are a tight knit group, everyone is there training for the same reason to make it in this business, everyone busts their asses and it really brings us all together that bit more it’s a really positive atmosphere in the uprising school and locker room.
10. What’s next for Eddie Stone?
I’ve multiple goals set for myself over the next year, I’d love to get the chance to wrestle for OTT in the Tivoli Theatre, also hopefully branch out into some promotions across the sea would be a nice step to take and also I’ve never held a championship yet in wrestling I’d like that to change sooner rather than later.

Former Irish Junior Heavyweight Champion LJ Cleary!
Ladies and Gentlemen here is our interview with the youngest ever Irish Junior Heavyweight Champion MR. LJ CLEARY
First of all LJ thanks for joining us today, here is the first question
1.Was there one moment in history that made u fall in love with sports entertainment?
I suppose it's just the cliche answer that I genuinely have been a fan my entire life. However there a certain moments that made me fall in love with the idea of actually pursuing it such as in 2008 when Chris Jericho smashed Shawn Michaels face into the JeriTron 5000 starting his suit and tie character with that whole character being another reason I fell in love with wrestling.
2. Who influenced you to get into wrestling?
The people that influenced me to get into wrestling were all just the people that I watched growing up as a fan and then grew to admire as performers. It's a long list of people ranging from Chris Jericho, John Cena, Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam. Outside of actual wrestling however I could say my uncle was an influence as he was the first person to introduce me to it.
3. Who is your favourite wrestler of all time?
My favourite wrestler of all time is without a doubt Chris Jericho. He's the person that I take the most inspiration from both from a technical and character standpoint.
4. What separates you from most of the other men in this sport?
I believe what separates me most is that I've been trained in all different areas of professional wrestling. There's performers who might latch onto one thing as something that they're the best at. However with my training over the last five years I've been able to explore all the attributes it takes to be a pro wrestler. I haven't just been taught how to do moves to throw a match together but I've been taught how a match works with its structure, storytelling, promo work, character work and how to work to a camera. All of this is something that I am still building on ever day but I feel that what separates me from other men is that Id consider myself well able to adapt to any situation I'm thrown in.
5. You have fought for places like PWU,OTT and FFPW which one was ur favourite and what other companies would you like to join?
I wouldn't have a specific favourite but wrestling for FFPW will always be special to me as its the first promotion I wrestled for. I have been lucky enough to debut for OTT wrestling this year which is on fire right now and hope to be there a lot more in the coming months. Also ive had an absolute blast wrestling for PWU wrestling the likes of Doug Williams and WWE UK Star Tucker and can assure you youll be seeing me in PWU for a good while.
6. To date who has been your toughest opponent?
Up until now my toughest has definitely been Jordan Devlin. Jordan was part of the WWE UK tournament at the start of the year and has been on an absolute tear of amazing matches this year. The two matches I had with him for the Irish Junior Heavyweight Championship at FFPW have been my toughest buy also favourite matches to date as for me it was a way of proving that I could hang with Europes best.
7. Who are the funniest people in the OTT locker room?
The funniest people in the OTT locker is definitely B cool and Captain Sexsea who's recently been on the Contenders shows.
8. How close are you to the other wrestlers in OTT and Uprising because of course you know most of the lads and ladies?
Ive become a lot more closer now over the last year with people from both locker rooms just with the fact that we all see each other so much now with all the shows that are ran in Ireland. Uprising is actually the one promotion in Ireland I haven't ticked but am extremely familiar with the talent in the locker room. It's been a lot easier to get closer too with my own FFPW locker room being there too.
9. Where did you train?
I started training and am still training at Fight Factory Pro Wrestling formerly know as NWA Ireland. NWA Ireland was set up in the early 2000s by Fergal Devitt and Paul Tracey and is currently run by my head trainer Phil Boyd alongside Katey Harvey. Phil has been the biggest help in my career without a doubt and I would not be close to the performer I am today without his help. Being part of FFPW has given me the chance to train with some of the best wrestlers around Europe such as Sean Maxer Brennan, Justin Shape, Paul Tracey, Dru Onyx, Jigsaw, Johnny Moss and Marty Jones. Ive also had the pleasure to train in both Johnny Moss and Marty Jones schools in the UK as well as MSW in Dublin. FFPW is currently churning out some of the best young talent in the country including myself, Michael May, Valkyrie, Darren Kearney and Nathan Martin.
10. How did it feel being the youngest ever Irish Junior Heavyweight champion?
It is an absolute honour for me to say that I was the youngest Irish Junior Heavyweight Champion. I think I was the 7th champion and looking at the champions before me with people like Sammy D, B cool and Tucker I felt so privileged to be in the same category as those and now with Jordan too. It will always be something important to me winning that championship as it was my first but I can assure you that it's not my last.
11. What's next for LJ Cleary?
Expect to see me a lot more places The coming months moving into 2018 pushing to wrestle abroad, you'll still be able to see me in Ireland in FFPW PWU and OTT. Regarding what's next I'm going to continue to try make myself the best performer possible till every single person knows the bushy hair and the name of LJ Cleary!
Thanks LJ it’s greatly appreciated!

PWU Star Tim Steed!
First of all Tim, I would like to thank you! Here's the first question.
Q:Was there one moment in history that made you fall in love with sports entertainment?
A: Sure, I'll revert back to my earliest memory of wrestling. My parents bought me a WWF sticker book which fast became quite an addiction. Based on that I quickly watched my first full show which was WrestleMania IX, sticker book laid out on the floor as I paired off all the wrestlers! I've loved it ever since.
Q: We all know Dave 101 and JDP were your mentors, how far into reality does that friendship go?
A. They are yes. Debuting into The Bad Guys gave me the opportunity to learn from JDP & 101 which I think was invaluable at the beginning. I always had their advice & critique after each show and for the most part we had a lot of fun in and out of the ring. Today I still have that advice & support on hand, they've taken care of me well and I'll always be grateful for that.
Q: Who is your favourite WWE/WCW wrestler of all time?
A: It has to be Triple H. My head turned from Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels to Triple H right around the time of 1999/2000. He's still owning it.
Q: Who influenced you most in your career?
A:Other than the heroes I grew up watching I think it's the people who help you along the way mostly. Lauren, we got into wrestling together & stuck at it together. Tron & Tucker who have set the bar for what can be achieved for any aspiring wrestlers from NI. The core group at PWU have always been supportive and I've been lucky to have had my mentors as previously mentioned.
Q: You Have been at PWU for a while what do you think of the #pwuloyal?
A: I think the #PWULoyal are the best crowd to perform in front of. The hashtag is what it says and it goes both ways. I value their support for me and I never want to disappoint them.
Q: To date who has been your toughest opponent?
A: It has to be JDP. Two days after Gold Rush & that tables match. I assure you my thumbs are almost the only functioning parts of my body. It's definitely the toughest match I've been in to date but I am eager for more of the same.
Q: Who are the funniest people in the PWU locker room?
A: There are quite a few to choose from believe me. Phil Boyd is usually up to something ridiculous. Dude Roadsville likes to act the idiot as well!
Q:In your opinion who do you think is the best young talents on the Irish Indy scene?
A: Maybe not the youngest talent around but I think Rocky Starr just keeps getting better and better. I invest in everything Rocky does this past while.
LJ Cleary & Valkyrie are definitely two of the youngest talents who have a very bright future.
Q: Do you see Tim Steed on the OTT Roster?
A: OTT could do with a Tim Steed.
Q: What's next for Tim Steed?
A: Who knows? I enjoy what I do and I am very excited about the new #S13 home of PWU and I expect to have a lot of incredible nights there in the near and distant future with the #PWULoyal.

What do you think of the women's division of North and the South of Ireland?
When I first started wrestling there wasn't many women about. There was no women's Championships. Now Pwu have give us the first Women's Championship on this island and they're bringing in the talent to go along with it! Women's wrestling has went from strength to strength and it will only get better! the girls I work with are incredible and so encouraging so it can only get better.
Question 2:
How did you get into Wrestling?
I had watched wrestling when I was younger but going to an all girls school, it wasn't the cool thing to do. after I stopped caring what other people thought I started watching it again. I found out about Pwu and I attended a show back in the Holiday inn with my boyfriend Tim Steed. Katey Harvey was wrestling Nikki Storm and that sorta lit a flame in my belly. PWU offered training so we both started and it all kicked off from there
Question 3:
What has been your favourite wrestling match, so far in your career?
My favourite match has to be the four way that I had for the women's Championship with Katey, Polly and Viper! we absolutely killed it that night! However, the four way for CCWs women's Championship that Katey, Raven, Valkryie and I had at CCW is a very close second!
Question 4:
In Pro Wrestling Ulster, who would be the funniest in the locker room?
Ahh it's actually a difficult question! Everyone just gets on well and we all have the craic with each other!
Question 5:
If you could pick a opponent of your choosing from past or present to face in the ring, Who would it be?
I'd love Raven Creed to get up to PWU, I love working with that girl! I'd also love to see Toni and Viper back! Two great girls who are so supportive! As for girls I haven't work with, I'd love the chance to work with Jinny!

I love that PWU have given us women an incredible platform to showcase what we can do. They invest a lot in the women! They brought the first ever women's Championship to this island and continue to bring in incredible talent! It just shows how much they have invested in women's wrestling. My favourite thing is how much the fans are like family. PWU, the wrestlers and the fans are one family! PWU Loyal all the way!!!
Question 7:
Obviously before in PWU, you have played heel, but do you prefer to play a heel or a face?
I always preferred to play heel however I absolutely love the position I am in now! I think I am lucky that I have that little switch that when it's pressed I can go that little bit psycho! It allows me to be both heel and face!
